The Riverview Group is a shareholder and development manager of a large-use retail space located at 185 Old Hume Highway, Mittagong, which opened in 2007.
The development includes a 1,720m² single-level retail space over basement parking. The historic sandstone caretaker’s cottage built in 1865 as part of the Fitzroy Ironworks site is also on the block. As part of the development, the Riverview Group restored and refurbished the cottage, which now houses a café/restaurant. The restoration was awarded a special commendation in the Wingecarribee Heritage Awards 2009.
Adjacent to the cottage and large retail space is the Mittagong Marketplace which houses Woolworths, Big W and other specialty shops as well as an Aldi supermarket. Woolworths, Aldi and the Riverview Group have a shared loading dock and driveway agreement.
