The Riverview Group, a subsidiary company of Corkhill Bros Pty Ltd, is an active property development company along the east coast of Australia.

Thomas Corkhill

Thomas Corkhill has more than 25 years’ experience working in the finance industry. Thomas is currently the Group CEO of KCS Limited, Asia’s leading independent provider of corporate accounting and trust services. With a Bachelor of Economics/ Bachelor of Law from the Australian National University, Thomas began his career as a graduate in the tax division of Price Waterhouse, before being promoted to Manager within the same department.  In 1989, he was appointed Senior Manager at Grant Thornton, Hong Kong, where he was admitted as a Partner two years later. He moved to his current position in 2004. A proud expatriate, Thomas has held the positions of Director and Treasurer of the Australian Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong and President of the Australian Association of Hong Kong, where he lives with his wife Michelle with whom he has two children.

Brian Corkhill

Brian Corkhill is the Managing Director of Corkhill Brothers Sales Pty Ltd and oversees the organisation’s day-to-day operations. Brian, who founded Corkhill Bros Sales Pty Ltd in 1954 with his brother Patrick, started the business with one truck and contracted to local sand pits where he contributed to the reconstruction of the Hume Highway at Gundagai and supplied the raw sand for the construction of Scrivener Dam. Since its inception, Brian has grown the business to its current form, employing 45 staff and running a successful recycling plant and landscape supply business out of two locations, Mugga Lane and Mitchell. Brian, whose family’s history in Canberra spans more than 125 years, and his wife Aileen raised their five children in Canberra and are proud of the contribution that the Corkhill family have made to the community throughout four generations.

Philip Corkhill

Philip Corkhill has more than 30 years’ experience working in the ACT’s recycling, quarrying and resource recovery industries. His primary role within Corkhill Brothers is the marketing and management of the organisation’s green waste, landscape and recycling site at Mugga Lane Resource Management Centre, which currently accepts, processes and sells more than one million cubic metres of green waste material each year. Philip, who has worked his way up through the family business, has previously held positions as diesel mechanic and welder, Quarry and Workshop Manager, and Executive Officer. Phillip was schooled at Marist College and lives in Canberra with his wife Leanne and their three children.

Paul Corkhill

Paul Corkhill’s knowledge of Canberra’s waste management is unsurpassed, having worked for the family business – Corkhill Brothers – for more than 25 years. Currently one of the organisation’s Directors, Paul has previously held positions as Executive Officer, overseen accounts and new business opportunities, and operated the company’s waste skips. He is heavily involved in the overall management of the business along with his father, Brian, and brother, Philip. With a solid experience base in sustainable practices, Paul is committed to best practice recycling and re-use activities, and oversees the recovery and re-use of more than 10,000 tons of commercial and industrial waste each year.  Paul was schooled at Marist College and lives in Canberra with his wife Jacqui and their two children.

David Maxwell

David Maxwell has been Director of the Riverview Group and the other Corkhill companies since 2003. In his current role, David has overseen the investment in and development of all of the company’s major projects. David has accumulated more than 30 years’ experience in real estate and major property development since beginning his career with residential real estate company, Woodger Corporation. David fulfilled the role of National Development Manager (Property Development) for Woolworths Limited, and over the 10 years with the company was involved in the completion of also thirty-five (35) development projects throughout Australia. He has extensive experience in property investment, financial services, consultancy and property development. David was schooled at St Edmund’s College, an Associate of the Australian Property Institute, lives in Canberra with his wife, Donna (Brian and Aileen’s daughter), and their two children.

Wayne Bolin

Wayne Bolin has more than four decades of accounting experience and is currently Principal at Bolin Accountants Pty Ltd. Wayne has held numerous accounting roles within Canberra including the Canberra Southern Cross Club (as Assistant Manager – Finance and Administration) and National Accountant for the Bible Society in Australia Inc. More recently Wayne has held senior and managerial roles within local accounting firms Delladova, Hollands, Beard & Co (Senior Accountant) and Hollands & Partners (Partner). Wayne has a first-rate understanding of financial planning, investment, business development, payroll, taxation and superannuation, and has been the Corkhill family accountant for the past 15 years. Wayne has also been heavily involved in local public speaking group, Toastmasters, including previously holding the role of Club President and Governor.
